East Norfolk Railway at Sloley

Atmospheric shot of the former East Norfolk Railway photographed at the level crossing at Sloley between Wroxham and Hoveton and Worstead.

The East Norfolk Railway was opened here in 1874 and reached Cromer in 1877. In Edwardian times the Norfolk Coast Express thundered across here bearing fashionable holiday makers like Winston Churchill and his family.
