Last view of the Dolomites

It's our last day in Alleghe and the sun is shining. The bus picks us up after lunch.
We wander the town doing last minute shopping in the local delicatessen (parma ham, salami and cheese). We eat lunch in the local pizzeria which offers wonderful pizzas and delicious beer. We take photographs of the mountains surrounding us and decide to book the same week next year, hoping to get to our original destination Arraba. (The road to Arraba officially reopened today and we saw a local bus arriving from there.)
You can see in this picture why avalanches are such a danger if it snows large amounts on those very steep mountains. In the center is a gully and if you view on large you can see how the snowslides have poured down that gully.
