Rainy River Teith

Day three of our back-end fishing trip on the River Teith near Doune.

It was forecast to rain. And rain it did. And some more. And more.

We stood in the pouring rain for about 8 hours throwing lines into a rising river. The water was clear at the start of the day, but had risen at least 6 inches by the afternoon and was becoming coloured - not good conditions for finding the fishes.

After a few hours the water was dribbling down my neck, through my jacket at the elbows and through my waders at the bum where I must have sat on a thorn and punctured them. Lovely.

Eventually we gave in to the rain and hit the hotel bar with Keith, Tessa and Jason joining us for some pub grub, beer, wine and games of shithead.
