Echeveria Flowers

I have always pronounced this plant name as E ke ver ia. But recently know it is named after a Mexican botanist. A Spanish friend's maiden name is Echeveria, which she pronounces in Spanish as Esh ev eria. My plant pronounciation bible says it can be pronounced either so in future it will be known as Elena' s plant. Our Spanish friends other name.
