Great Blue Heron is HUGE!

This morning as we were having coffee, two Blue Heron's flew in, and lit on the grass quite close to the back windows. I ran for the camera, but they both flew off before I found "the card" to put back in (why oh why do I always forget to replace the card??)

Then about 3 minutes later, on of the pair returned and walked down to the pond, turned around, and flew back out....coming directly for me! I got off a few shots, but loved the wingspan and coloring on this shot, and of course the poor duck running to get out of it's path!!!
