Snowflakes

The snowdrop relative is a lot chunkier than its smaller friend with much larger flowers. This specimen is Leucojum vernum, the spring snowflake, but I have long suspected that it's a variety thereof as it seems shorter and earlier than the type. Must really try to key it out properly this year. It's flowering now at Arduaine at around 8" tall and I was just in time at 5pm to catch it before the light disappeared completely!
