The Lovell Telescope, Jodrell Bank

On Sunday we visited the new Discovery Centre at Jodrell Bank, but the most impressive sight there is still the Lovell Telescope, a 76m radio telescope made from (among other things) a couple of battleship main gun turret rings! Fortunately we had a beautifully clear day to view it after the horrendous storms of the past week.
