Cheap Frills

Out touring garden centres and builders' yards today, for some broken slabs, rapidly coming to the conclusion that crazy-paving is no longer fashionable and no-one wants to sell broken pieces. We found a specialist supplier to trade and DIY, however, that would offer a very good deal on three whole slabs which we found on a pile next to their skip; too good to miss, we can break them up.

Elsewhere, a bargain we did resist was for tiny ornamental cabbages, at half price.
