Presentation is everything

In these difficult times for retailers any method of attracting the casual passer-by has got to be a good thing. I think this needs a little more work before anyone is beating on the door to get in. I don't know if the fruit is there to entice the viewer in on some sort of deal – buy a watch strap and get a piece of fruit free – or he has forgotten where he has put the five-a-day part of his lunch. It would instil a bit more confidence in his capabilities if the clocks on display were at least all on the same time. The correct time of day would be a bonus.

I don't think Laing Edinburgh need worry any time soon.
