Uruguay

We're getting closer to our final destination Montevideo in Uruguay. We've passed the 30 degree South latitude bound south and that means that we also are leaving the warm tropical waters behind. We saw the first albatross this morning, soaring over the cold, oxygen-rich water. That means fish, and this tuna fisherman passed us this morning. You can see clearly that our nice sunny tropical period is coming to an end now. To be fisherman on a vessel like this means hard and dangerous labour. You see the small boats on her stern? These are daughtercrafts from the Ferreira 21, the mothervessel. But if the mother is not too big, her children must be very very small. Working all day long in small boats like this on the middle of the south atlantic ocean is quite dangerous.
