Strip of Glory

Leeds was looking very beautiful in the sunshine today - crocii and snowdrops everywhere, but what I really loved were the distant views - how I miss those here in Sutton Coldfield...feels quite claustrophobic to me a lot of the time - like I'm always hemmed in by buildings. I guess living in the Brazilian sertão for 24 years has given me a taste for open skies...

This is looking south from Royal Park Road, in Headingley. Another feature of Leeds - churches with steeples wherever you look.

(BTW, if anyone needs a hotel in Leeds ever, the small one we stayed in was superb - Haley's.)
