In an all-white (desk, chairs, walls, lights, ceiling fittings, blinds) video-conference room, there is this simple white remote.

No-one has ever pressed the buttons on it, but rumour is that it raises and lowers the numbered reality in which the room exists. This would explain why many meetings there seem to last an eternity.
