Police Scotland Day 325 - social media recruitment

A live Facebook chat was held on the legacy Grampian Facebook page in a bid to encourage participants to consider a career with Police Scotland.

Aberdeen City Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Adrian Watson, hosted the session, which invited the public to ask questions about the recruitment process and life on the beat.

During the two hour session around 200 posts from the public were received on the Facebook and Aberdeen Police twitter feed. The questions asked covered a range of subjects from how the recruitment process works, to training and career opportunities available to police officers, to requests for guidance from those currently preparing to undertake their Standard Entrance Exams.
