Spring

Watch the bulbs rise
as ancient paths
give way to natures unbound need
to reach out to the sun
and be found.

See no dance of peacock here,
rather the advance
of the tubor army,
together,
as one.

I lean down and place
my inquisitive fingers in her earth;
Welcome I am to luxuriate,
to take pleasure,
time no matter, the moment is all.

If this were not a public park
I swear I would dig and dig
a hole so free
that I might lie there, undressed,
and find me.
