Venetian fishing boats

Since visiting Venice some years ago I've been looking for a picture to remind me of out visit. Last autumn, in an antique shop down in Devon, I found this beautiful watercolour by Edward Bearne, dated 1892, which my wife very kindly bought me as a Christmas present.

The Venetian fishing fleet, all under sail at that time, was based on the adjoining island of Chioggia.
