The pride of Rotterdam waits for the evening tide

It always amazes me that it manages to sail and dock in so little water!
It's so shallow at low tide that you could walk out and touch the side of the ship and hardly get your feet wet.
Obviously the ship sits in a slot in the river bed, but it's away all night and every night, and the slot isn't dredged.
Perhaps the sheer weight of the ship is sufficient to displace the mud that builds up on the overnight tide?
This was a difficult shot for the phone camera, but it handled it well.
