more tulips....

I started this painting the other day....thought i'd try a more realistic rendering of the tulips! it's a bit bigger than the others....18" x 12". this is mostly just the under painting, with the beginning of the pastels on top!

In other news....weather of course.....it snowed as promised last night, we got another 4-6".....jeez....just as long as we can get out to the Baddeck Library this evening. They have 'movie' night on thursdays during the winter, most of them have an environmental theme...this evening it is Into the Arctic.....Artist Cory Trepanier has explored some of Canada's most remote places. Now he's entering the breathtaking Arctic wilderness to experience and paint a land that might never be the same again. Sounds right up my alley...then pizza at Tom's afterwards....now that's definitely up my alley !
