Mckenzie country

Last night we went back to the same spot by lake Pukaki it was so hot all night and bit of a relief to see a bit of cloud around today although it is still 26.
We had a cooked breakfast mmmm just love it! Then headed down to Omarama, our fridge has been playing up so we went there to fill the gas bottle, fuel water, coffee etc! And blow out the vent to the fridge.
Our intention was to walk up to the clay cliffs but decided not to in the end as the road turned to shingle and I didn't want all the dust in the bus! Another day.
I did take this view across the farmland towards Twizel, this one by my phone!
The signal is not that good where we are parked. Back up to Twizel tomorrow and then home.
On our way down here we past the charity bike ride, all up hill to Tekapo :-( well done you guys.
