JESSICA FIRES.....

..... another day at the Alternative Olympics, but today it is a sort of "real" event !!!

One of the hidden treasures in our Penrith area came following the 2000 Olympic Games, by way of the Penrith White Water Rafting complex, and this weekend they are conducting the Oceania Championships 2014, with contestants from around the world.

Our local home bred CHAMPION you see here in my Blip today, Jessica Fox.

Well, after a torrid day over two heats, she has pulled out a magic run of 99.11 and presently leads by 3.85 secs, from the German contender Melanie Pfeifer.

In the mens event Robin Jeffery another Australian competitor leads from Franz Anton one of the German contenders, and Matej Benus from Slovakia in third place. You guessed it I did not get Robin pic, as there were 36 contenders and made a bad decision of not getting his pic, oh well always tomorrow in the Semis!!

If you ever needed proof facilities like these are worthwhile, another young local, 14 year old Kiara McKay, did very well in her run, and is in the semis tomorrow.

So all in all, the Olympics went very well today, thanks for looking.

And, after giving up of ever getting a dragon fly shot..... guess what!!!??

Got one... the damsel!!!

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE at what makes a champion, and the concentration in Jessica's eyes.
