Taking Precautions

This girl striding up Candlemakers' Row wasn't taking any chances with the weather this morning. With a few spots of half hearted rain hovering in the air she was preparing for the worst, which never materialised.

I had left His Lordship battling with emails and phone calls, while I blipped my way into town before meeting him for more food shopping.
It's amazing how much two seasoned bus pass holders can consume in just a few days.

It's also amazing what an eye watering amount we have to pay this afternoon to retrieve our car from the garage after its service and MOT, when new tyres have been added to the usual mix of tweaks and replacements.
It wasn't so long ago that we could have bought a small flat for the roubles we have to hand over later.
To say I grudge the amount is an understatement, but HL is not quite ready to take up the Car Club option yet.
