Thomas Gainsborough

Statue of Thomas Gainsborough, in the town of his birth, Sudbury, Suffolk. Arguably, Britain's best painter of the 18th century. The statue was commissioned by one of Queen Victoria's daughters and the artist decided to place on the reverse this statue a bronze relief of musical instruments and painting paraphernalia.
