Sapporo Snow and Ice

I have made a collage of my photos of the snow and ice festival.
The carvings, food stalls and temporary commercial sites went for about 10 blocks, in a long rectangular park between two streets. There were lots of snow carvings and a few ice ones.
The very large snow copy of the Indian Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula is 12m x 21m x 23m and looked great both at night and day. Others are the Olympic one, an ice castle, the ice Emperor and empress next to a large ice eagle, the lower one is part of a stage.

Have a look at New Zealand's contribution. This was nearly 2 m high and very well made. Not so sure about the concept.
