Camellia days

Camellia days are here again! This is 'Donation', or I think it is. Few of our camellias at Arduaine are labelled, but there's a lot of this one! One of my favourites is Camellia oleifera, a Chinese species whose single white flowers come out in December, but it has flowered only twice in my 21 years here. I suspect it needs a hotter than usual summer to ripen the growth and produce flower buds.
