Playing field tree
This morning I did my parish councillor duty and helped to plant some trees and hedging bushes on the edge of one of our playing fields. As usual only a few people turned out, but we managed to plant everything and I think we were all happy to have done our bit. There were quite a few nasty thorns to content with in the exiting hedge and my hands now feel a little sore!
Today's blip is one of the mature trees that are already on the playing field. Like everything else it seems about to explode into life after our exceptionally mild and wet winter...!
