Lunch in the sun

I've been most relieved to experience a day without a corporate deadline/drama or an essay deadline. I celebrated by lunch with a textbook in a sun-dappled bistro. That restored my soul. I carried on the reading during a pedicure. I knocked it off while I had my eyebrows threaded on the grounds that would be as hazardous as it would be tricky.

I'm now in the bath with a face pack on and my textbook staring at me. I'm reflecting on how high maintenance I appear to be.... Especially for a nerd.
