It was pretty cold and wet today but we ventured to the upper reaches of Glen Roy, beyond Braeroy, for Caley’s walk.
This track continues to Loch Spey at the head of the famous river of the same name. The landscape around here is dominated by the River Roy cutting its way through huge fluvial terraces and these long steep banks are under constant erosion. It’s a glen that continues to be reshaped as you walk through it. I am amazed that more is not made of this ice age landscape by tourism people.
