San Esteban del Rey Mission at Sky City, Acoma

I have been to Acoma "Sky City" several times now and it never fails to thrill me. I love walking around and feeling the history of the place. If you can find a spot where the natives aren't selling their wares, and the tourists aren't shooting endless photos, you can almost feel like you have stepped back in time 900 years

This is one of the bell towers of the mission that was built there in 1629. No photos are allowed inside the mission, so for today, this shot will have to suffice.
