Beach and Boat 2

It is our 2nd day at Beach and Boat but the first day of the actual fishing competition.

We had a big night last night and were up at 6am for an early start. The weather was windy and there was no way we could get out deep or even out of the harbour for that matter. We tried hard as you can see with the quiver of rods we had set up but really didn't get much to weigh in.

This is Brent who heads up Club Marine Insurance in NZ. He was on our crew and Club Marine is a solid supporter of LegaSea.

Brent and I fished together as a team in a private wager against our fellow crew Shane and Paul. Our prize was a bottle of Appleton's for the biggest snapper over the two days of the event. Brent and I are in the lead today with a very ordinary fish that I caught but still bigger than our fellow competitors.

Tomorrow is a better forecast so let's hope we can get out to the Islands off the coast called the Hen and Chickens.
