The Phoenix Rises

A day of two halves

A very different, calm and respectful funeral, with lots of love care and humour.
Terry Wogan's Carmudgeon, Stewart Eglin was bade farwell today. Wonderful stories of a sharp intellect, loving father with a wicked sense of humour.
Three eulogies, the first by Tracy his daughter. She was amazing. Her father would have been very proud of her and probably laughed his socks off.
If there is ever a good funeral, this was it.

After that we needed to take the faulty Nikon down to Edinburgh to go for repair and met up with Bro L and Hazel. Had a very lazy, relaxed couple of hours chatting, lunching and coffee-ing. A spot of toy window shopping.
Granny Hazel, (she'll kill me for that), was trying this out for my Dad. Completely house trained, cheap to keep, non allergenic, clean and shuts up on removal of several AA batteries. Lot less bother than a bouncy hairy mongrel like Curlyfries.
Oops sorry son.
