Show and tell part 1

Here is a bag I made last week. One of four things that I worked on, I will blip the others soon... This was made for a friend who will leave school in a few weeks to resume her NQT training. We both taught the same level of phonics and have shared experiences, resources and frustration. So I thought this fabric very apt. I have used denim from an old pair of jeans (I hope they were an old pair!) for the base and handles. My machine had decided that it liked being on holiday when I made this, unlike when I was sewing a competition piece!
