Last look back

Our last road trip in OZ, and one last look back from the Great Ocean Road. We've had good times and bad times here, but overall the good memories will remain the strongest.

The exotic strangeness of this continent island trapped in time. Kangaroos grazing in the fields at dusk. Boundless beaches and endless coastlines. The lights of Sydney harbor and bustling culture of Melbourne. The wild and windy southern ocean. The small country towns we rolled in and out of. Camp sites ringing to the sound of kookaburra and cockatoo chatter and the feeling of endless space and discovery just beyond the horizon.

Looking back at the western horizon to where we have not yet been I can't help being drawn to continue on and on, but then again sometimes it's good to leave something for next time. A reason to return.
