Camouflage

And here we have Pansy, this year's winner of the Oystercatcher Model of the Year, strutting her stuff and modelling the latest in camouflage beaks. Note that signature tail feather wiggle of hers.

I had to zip up to Nelson today to see the dentist - urgent repair. I went in at 11 and then had to wait around and go back at 2, so while I was waiting I went down to the estuary hoping for some lively bird-life. The tide was too far out and the only one feeding was this pied oystercatcher - and she wasn't having much luck - more mud than mudcrab.

I got home after school finished but went straight into work and stayed there as I had a Board Meeting at 7. Just got home. Time for dinner (10.30 p.m.).
