An insurance bird

Back to the birds I am afraid. This is rather bird-esoteric as it is something called a Kumlein's Gull which is currently considered a subspecies of Iceland Gull - it breeds in NE Canada and so is not surprisingly rather rare over here.
Why insurance you might well ask? This is a subspecies that many consider is actually a full species and so if the taxonomists do decide that is the case, then I have already got it "in the bag"!
It is actually a very distinctive bird - a sort of half-way house between a Glaucous Gull and an Iceland Gull with darker tips to its primaries.
Great day today - am putting up other images of the bird and of the islands on my flickr account this evening.
