Silver seas

A walk down to Burniston Rocks this morning, a great place to explore, especially with kids. But I was struck by the wonderful light, catching on the waves and streams running down off fields. The very special quality about seaside light is that it is doubled by reflection off the sea, and those reflections are ever changing. Inland light on the landscape is plain by comparison.
And BTW, the kids were delighted to find a couple of fossils among the rocks, so we all enjoyed the walk.
