Keyed Up

“I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.”
~ Comedian Elayne Boosler

In my exploration of Cuenca, I’ve been fascinated by the various lock designs and doorways. Every door seems to have its own unique hardware. It’s not surprising, seeing the number of locks, that people are weighed down with keys. To get through our front gate and door, we have to open three separate locks each time we enter or leave. And for our back door, we have another two keys.
