Crying Over Spilt Silk

This is mulberry silk for spinning that I dyed and it is now in my sink soaking. I have been sliding down into the pits of learning curve hell in the last 24 hours. The silks I dyed - the color is bleeding every which way - and yes - I now have tropical blue hands!

I went by two sets of directions with new dyes (new to me) and created a disaster. I have dyed mulberry silk before and it was great. but those were different dyes than this batch and oh the color is bleeding from every bit of it.

So far the determination is vinegar in the wrong place and too much dye powder in my stock solution. Either way it did finally drive me to tears.
