Wounded Soldier

This poor chap was abandoned at our daughter's surgery with a badly broken leg. The 'owner' left false contact details and has not been seen since.

The leg was so bad that the only sensible options were euthanasia or amputation. Fortunately a dog rescue charity funded the amputation.

She is fostering him whilst he recovers. He looks like a Bedlington / Greyhound cross - but no one is completely sure. He is a lovely natured dog and has taken to his new 'home' very well - see here, and his lack of a limb has not stopped him getting about - see here, although cocking his leg did cause a few issues to begin with!

We did consider adopting him, but not sure how our Katie would take to a new dog in the house. We'll see....if we do, we will have to consider names - Tripod sprang to mind, but this was vetoed! So some alternatives are Gitzo or Benbo.
