Hunting Kestrel

This kestrel and a large murder of crows were getting very sweaty with a bird of prey that was hiding away in a tree nearby.

I couldn't tell what sort of raptor it was - it looked a similar size to a buzzard, with a white mottled front and definitely not a buzzard - I'll have to have a look at my book ...

On this day in 1928, Fats Domino was born in New Orleans - I expect one person on here to have picked that one up.

Fats Domino was wrongly named - he was as thin as a beanpole and he actually played backgammon - record producers refused his proposed name, "Skinny doubling-dice" ... there you go, that's history for you...
