More maths!

Today was the second in a series of 6 days of a brand new national programme that's being run by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics. I drove to the far side of Taunton via the M5. Once again, I caught glimpses of the flooding on the Levels on the way, but the water levels have started dropping. And this time, instead of driving through rain, hail and even snow, the sun was shining and I saw lots of daffodils and spring blossom - a much better journey.

Day 2 focused on statistics and probability. This particular activity involved matching the statistics to the correct boxplot, and choosing an appropriate interpretation in plain English of the data (if one was provided).

Once again, this was typical of the whole day - lots of activities involving collaboration that we could adapt for our own learners. And once again, the lunch was good too :-)

I have more homework to do before Day 3 (in 10 days' time).
