Stone

Day two at Glen Shellach; it feels like it has been quite a long and tiring one. There were more blustery showers and the saturated muddy slopes we had to work on were extremely slippery as I found to my expense.

This upright rock I believe is the work of a digger driver with an artistic flair (I'm assured this is the correct spelling in this context). Its rough hewn flanks and gravity defying rake work well within its environment. As I type I now wonder if it is perhaps the resting place of a much loved family pet.
