Shadows on the Shore

Today our plan was to meet our daughter for dinner in Dana Point, which is approximately half way for both of us. Since we (I) hadn't gotten our exercise in yet, we allotted enough time to walk around the marina and down by the tide pools at the point. The tide was higher than the last time I was here, but there was still some rocky beach to walk. The late afternoon sun cast some long shadows, and we were trying to see our shadows against the cliffs. Using some physics (or other plain old logic) we realized that we didn't have enough height for the shadows to fall on the cliffs, and had to settle for the rocks and sand. I had a different and more artistic photo to use, but this one that captured the two of us together seemed more relevant. Visiting with our daughter was the highlight of the day.
