Red to Yellow

Out in the garden at lunch time, looking for something to blip, and I realised for the first time (I am NOT the most observant of people - especially when it comes to plants!) that the mahonia's pretty yellow flowers emerge from red buds. I thought how pretty it was to see these two rich colours on display at the same time, on the same plant.

I'll be back to blip its berries later in the year :)
