My first blip is appropriately reflective of my job. Every other Thursday, Holyrood journalists pull a long shift to get the magazine off to the printers.

This tends to require a cup of reporter's rocket fuel, but this week I had something else to motivate me: my tickets to the Chvrches gig in Glasgow next week were delivered today.
