Sunshine in The Nutwood

I was out for my lunch again today. I met one of my former colleagues in Russell's, Melrose and a couple of other girls joined us for a coffee. It was really great having a catch up and after the wonderful salad I had, I can now recommend Russell's for lunch.

I arrived a bit early so after I parked my car I went for a walk in a wee area known as The Nutwood. It was once part of the grounds of Melrose Abbey is named after the Hazel trees that grow there. It looked almost like summer with all the greenery but it's mainly ivy which covers the ground and climbs the trees towards the light.

Exciting times ahead tomorrow when I venture into the world of fostering!
