Life in a Northern Town

Homework

Sarah happened to drop into the conversation today that she has some GCSE Photography homework to do.

The homework was to produce a contact sheet of 35 shots, in the style of the photographer she has chosen; Annie Liebovitz.

Are they having a laugh? 35 photos? Annie bloomin' Liebovitz? I suppose it could've been worse, it could've been Ansel Adams!

After spending much of the afternoon Photoshopping Sarah into various fantasy landscapes, we resorted to plain B & W headshots to make up the numbers (we still are only up to 20). This is one of them - not very Annie Liebovitz but I like it anyway. I must say some of the fantasy ones are very good, but I can't reallyBlip them as the backgrounds are pinched off Google!

A weekend song, inspired by David's friend Paul, who we discovered yesterday had never heard of Ikea. So today we educated him by taking him there - the bedside cabinet I wanted was not in the location it was supposed to be, and when we finally tracked down the right place, it was sold out. I don't think Paul was impressed. He did spend a long time looking incredulously at the sign advertising a hotdog and soft drink for 99p though.....and the sweets appetisingly called Scum. So in honour of the day, here's Ikea and Tina Turner (I am a little scared of Tina, all that hair and quivering)
