The Meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything

According to the much missed, late Douglas Adams, the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything could be compounded into one number: 42.

It's a number that Lewis Caroll made use of, and many suggestions have been made as to why Adams chose that number.

As I celebrate that great number, and look at the smilers beside me (and the more gorgeous one who took the photo and made the cake) I think I have the answer to it all right here.
