Word association from pillory

The word of the day is pillory (‘A device for punishment, usually consisting of a wooden framework mounted on a post, with holes or rings for trapping the head and hands, in which an offender was confined so as to be subjected to public ridicule, abuse, assault, etc.; punishment of this kind’, OED). “Pillory” is a kind of “stock”. “Stocks” has a strong collocate of “shares”. The Financial Times is concerned with stocks and shares. Here is a picture of the FT.
Life in the Republic is good fun, but at the moment seriously absorbing my photo time. Normal service hopefully resumed next week.

Day #60 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by the OED word of the day.
