Bush Track

A beautiful autumn-feel day with an hour of lovely, steady, warm rain just before dinner.

Just right for a post dinner bush walk in the freshness and fading light.

Chose Kaluna Park which is a natural partner and extension of Merriwa Park consisting of bush walking tracks and a great place to view local indigenous plants.

This park is the natural bushland that lines the King River.

The above bush track is the entrance to this unique feature so close and accessible to the town proper and lies immediately through and behind this bank of trees that is the border of the formal and natural parklands.

The river redgums in Kaluna Park date back hundreds of years with many hollows supporting a range of fauna including the rare Barking Owl, possums and gliders.

A great finish to my day with lots of blip opportunities.
