French Huguenots

The French Huguenots (among them my ancestors) arrived in the Cape of Good Hope in the late 17th century. The museum (photo is of the entrance) is located in the Franschhoek Valley (Franschhoek, literally the "French corner", is the area where the settlers were allocated farms and to which they applied their wine making skills and, in that way, formed the genesis of South Africa's wine industry).  Unfortunately, a busy day left little time to take many shots on this day.
