Snow-capped mountains on the Isle of Arran

Early morning shot looking across to the snow capped mountain range on the Isle of Arran.

Arran is an island of many myths and yarns. The island’s natural beauty and fertility have drawn people there for many centuries; the Picts, the Vikings and the Scots have all settled on the island and each has left behind stories and legends that remain part of the spoken tradition of Arran.

As I look across to the mountains I am mesmerised by the low-lying storm clouds trapping the sun in an eerie, glowing calm – a sublime blend of natural beauty.
